Grandma's Goulash!!
My grandma gave me this goulash recipe when I was old enough to cook because my siblings and always loved when she made it. Every time she was making it for dinner, she would invite us over to eat with her. It is so delicious, and it's great for a cold winter day or even a hot summer day! Here's what you'll need:
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
- 2 (16 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 (16 ounce) can water
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni, uncooked
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- Parmesan cheese (if desired)
Saute the onions and the garlic in olive oil until they are translucent. Brown the ground beef and drain it. Add the ground beef, tomatoes, water, raw macaroni, salt and pepper to the onion and garlic mixture. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until the macaroni is tender. If desired, top with Parmesan cheese.
